Mountain Falls Activation

In early October, the Buzz team had the privilege of traveling to a beautiful motorcoach resort in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina called Mountain Falls for another Buzz E-product activation event.  If you read our blog post about the event we attended in Watkins Glen back in September, this event was a bit different. In Watkins Glen, we were at a very busy raceway with thousands of people attending and loud races happening throughout the day, whereas at Mountain Falls, there were only a few hundred people and the loudest sounds we heard were the live music and sounds of players on the pickleball court.

The Mountain Falls resort was the perfect place to test our e-products because riders were able to truly see how having the electric boost helps them to go on longer, more challenging rides, and really gave them an opportunity to see the true capacity of our Buzz e-bikes. People often came back after their test rides and commented on how surprised they were about just how powerful our bikes are.  Within the resort, there were some steep hills that made me so thankful to be on one of our e-bikes! The electric pedal assist made the hills much easier to conquer, to the point where I didn’t even feel like I was on a hill.

Our booth was set up just outside the clubhouse, so anytime there was an event happening at the clubhouse (socials, classes, live music, etc.), we were at our booth ready to offer test rides. We even had the opportunity to host a happy hour for the residents and guests, and it was so much fun! The guests got to enjoy drinks and snacks courtesy of Buzz while receiving a demo of the products we had available.

Our location in North Carolina allowed us the opportunity to also do a pop-up at a nearby brewery in Asheville, NC called Bhramari Brewing Co. Similarly to what we were doing in Mountain Falls, we popped up at Bhramari to offer test rides to brewery visitors so they could experience our e-bikes and let us know what they thought. Bhramari Brewing Co.’s brand ties to our brand in that we share a love for everyone’s favorite pollinator, the bee, so it was a fun connection and opportunity to offer test rides to more people. Although the population was different, the feedback was the same – people loved the rides on our e-bikes. The pop-up was short and sweet, but nonetheless, a success!

Overall, the Mountain Falls activation event was a great experience. We are very grateful to the staff and residents for their hospitality and warm welcome during our visit. It was a fun trip to a beautiful location, and we hope to be back to visit in the future. A final note to our friends and residents of Mountain Falls: save a golf cart, ride an e-bike!

There were a few reasons we chose to activate at Mountain Falls. Not only was the beautiful scenery a plus, but a key rider population travels to places like this. Active, adventurous, and outdoorsy people make up the resident and guest population of Mountain Falls. Through this activation event, frequent travelers and RV owners were able to see in real time how our products can fit into their life (and into their coach!). For this reason, our two folding e-bikes, the Charter-F (available now) and the Centris (coming soon!), were the stars of the show. We heard many people say “wow” as they saw just how small the bikes were when folded up, and how they are able to be easily stowed away without taking up too much space in their coach.
